Another interesting piece of feedback you can use is to look at your old bat and see if there is any grouping of cherries in a particular area, then measure whether this is higher or lower up the blade. This could be due to your body position when striking the ball, or the conditions that you regularly play in. The sizing table above has been developed over decades of making bats and receiving feedback from our players. It is worth noting that there is no industry standard for bat sizing, so all brands could be slightly different. The overall player height is a good starting point to selecting the correct sized bat. However, as not everyone’s body composition is the same, a good secondary measurement can be to measure your wrist-to-ground size (in cm). If the end of the bat handle is in your palm while standing up straight with hands beside your hips, that could be another indicator that the bat is the correct size for you. The ultimate way to ensure you are choosing the correct size of bat is to visit your local Kookaburra retailer and pick up some bats and see what size feels the most comfortable in your stance.
